multi ram question

the black box at the bottom of the multi ram were vacume hozes connect what is it cauld i snapes one if the connectors off

If you mean the square object with the two vac pipes going to it, its a Vacuum tank ;)

It's a reservoir to store vacuum that the multi-rams need to move. The more you put your foot down the less vacuum you have in the manifold. So ...... no you can't snap a connector off.  ;) ;)

I think mowerman means he already did snap one of the connectors off..

I know! I had my tongue in my cheek.  ;)

Maybe he can drill a hole the size of the existing tube into where connector had been and glue the tube into it.
Or get another reservoir, I'm sure there must be a breaker with a spare.  :y :y

Vac Tanks are only £20 ish new from Vauxhall  :y

i was pulling of the rubber connectors i didnt realise how brittel they are its my first time doing these cambelts will no next time i have also broken the cable tray and chiped the crankshaft pully  im glad its my own car and no one to swear at me

There are various plastic pipe connections that get brittle due to age & heat under the bonnet. I'd to replace the brake pipe none return valve cos I'd broke one of the connections from mine.  :(
