2.2 omega engine swapany advice offered

any advice offered here would be great,
after cleaning the pick up strainer in sump started her up not good to much damage done bottom end knocking and top ticking away.............
so im thinking of removing lump and replacing one from johnsons vauxhall spares n salvage (anyone heard of these ppl and have you used them wat they like????) which the fella tells me its only done 55k and giving 3 mths warrenty
do i need to change ecu or even reprogramme?
any advice links would be helpfull thanks guys

Not sure if it was that firm but sure someone on here had an engine from a company like these and had nothing but trouble. Might be well worth your while posting a wanted ad in the test section and asking a Mod to move it.

Think Daz was breaking a 2.2 recently :-/

If you are swapping the engine there is no need to swap the ECU. Keep the wiring loom it will run from your gearbox, certain wires will go to your engine but end up at the ECU.
If you change your ECU and not your key and Transponder you wont start the ode girl.. :y unless your from Manchester or Liverpool  ;D ;D ;D :P :P :P
