Hi

Noticed a slight oil leak on the garage floor - couldn't see where it was coming from (ricked my back so difficult to lay on garage floor!!).  Took it to my local garage who said I need a new head gasket.  I trust them, however....

The engine is not running hot, there is no gunk inside the filler cap, there are no bubbles in the coolant, AND it starts everytime and goes like sh*t off a shovel.

The oil is neat (not emulsified) on the floor.

Could this really be a gasket problem???  Having done a Supra head gasket (I know wash my mouth out), there are no similar signs being exhibited

Bill,I have just noticed where you are ,my workshop is at longdowns and I would be glad to give you a second opinion

What do you do there?

I know the place!!!!

I repair cars there and have for the last 20 odd years,I'm not on the main road though,down a lane about half a mile long

 

Might pop past one day soon then.
