well mines a 2.0 16v so has the 4 pot body loom
which means that the tc button wiring could be under the 8? buttons above the radio but nothing seems to be to the right of the radio

It's unlikly to have TC in the first place been a 2ltr 4 pot engine, chances are there will be no loom to plug into

lol i would but it doesnt say for example.. to add tc to the standard body ecu loom on a 2.0 prefacelift- you need: blah blah blah and then you splice such and such red wire from such and such relay from the ecu and connect it to such and such lol
they should make a how2 guide me thinks...

You can't do it - the ABS ECU and Engine ECU do not have the capability.

TB what about if hes upgraded the engine...would have thought the 2.5 ecu he has now would have the capability as the car its from had TC/ABS...so if the TC/ABS unit from a v6 was installed, would it be possible then?

Ah, misread.

The engine ecu has it.  The ABS ECU *may* be able to be reconfiged to have it, then its a case of following the wiring diagrams to ensure the wiring all there, I would imagine the wiring to be fairly simple.

Thinking about it, engine loom wiring would be there (as part of 2.5 loom), I imagine body loom for in cabin would have it anyway, so just need to check ABS loom...

With his car being a 95...would the ABS/TC unit need to be out of an earlier model or would the later 98 onwards units work fine too??? As they are different I believe although not sure in what way, just obviously look different...

ABS would have to come from same era - ie, up to 1997, or 1998 onwards.

Not entirely sure if non TC ABS units can be programmed for TC, initial reaction is they can't
