I must confess that fitting parking sensors to mine was purely a "Because I can and they are cheap" thing... That said they are really useful as lots of places around me have either stupid 10" ish high walls or short bollards you don't have a hope in hell of seeing >:( >:( >:(

Thats exactly the way we would wire it in, although we may also put a switch on the dash (power feed seperated by diodes) so that you could also switch it on permanently to act like a rear view mirror whilst going along.

I must admit, another reason for fitting it is because I have a camera and the facility on the new H/U so hey why not....

While I think about whats the best way of getting a cable from the dash to the boot.

Ie under the door trim or through the roof lining??

Door trim / carpet every time.

Never go near the headlining unless you really really really have no alternative.

And for those that want to know why I don`t like going near headlinings - here are a few reasons

Headlinings generally show up dirty fingers and difficult to clean off

Modern foam headlinings can crease easily if not carefull

But the biggest issue I have is Airbag side curtains, if you are not carefull, a cable positioned in front of an airbag could prevent it from being deployed correctly, so genrally best to avoid that area if you can.

Are there any links to pictures of the wiring looms as I not sure which cable is the reversing light and which are indicators or brake lights?

Trace it back from the light cluster... A little patience and you can follow it from the base of the bulb holder all the way back! Off the top of my head I think reverse lights may be back/white but don't quote me on that :y :y :y
