they are a couple of quid on fleabay and a bit dearer in halfrauds 

Don't buy the cheap ones, if they work once it's a miracle, but chances are they'll roger the pins inside the head, then you'll have the most grief trying to get the head out

just what i use long thin screwdrivers and it gives more pull to remove said part,

Remove that car 2003 and fit the correct Hu to it then you will find the controls should work.
