Sorry to spoil the fun, but I know exactly what causes that issue, and you haven't fixed it.  But by man-handling the screen, given it a temporary reprive.

The answer is a new LCD panel  :'(

It aint necessarily so. ;)...........I have just had Al,s screen repaired. It just remains for it to be put back in the car to check all is ok. :)

And presumably it will need to be taken out of delivery mode and then paired with your headunit via tech2 which is further expense.
Providing Bigal,s repair is a success,I should be able to get them repaired for less than a quarter of what you were quoted. :)

Last LCD panel I bought came in way under a quarter of MaxV6's quote.

Specialist equipment is needed to repair the ribbon-glass connection, which is where the fault lies....
