To put it another way, injector duration is about 3ms at idle.
600 squirts x 6 cylinders per minute.
600x6 * 0.003 = 10.8s of injector open time per minute

injector flow is about 250cc/min

10.8/60 * 250 = 45cc/min

I suspect this is still an over-estimate because it neglects the non-trivial open/close time of the injectors, but it shows we are in the right ball park.
