the main problem is that the majority of immigrants we have in this country now are calling asylum and cannot be touched. Food for thought is the main reason they claim asylum is because they fear for their lives if they return to there own country. Makes you wonder what they did in there own country that warranted a death sentence.

Saw this coming 4 years ago, that's one of the reasons I left for sunnier climes. Of course Spain has it's own problems with immigrants but they do deal fairly with them over here. That kind of infraction would have definately earned those girls a stay in prison then deportation.
They are getting hot over here with the deportation thing, all the immigrants that came over to work in the plastic greenhouses are being checked for legality and if not 100% sent back to wherever they came from 'toute suite'. Then the jobs can go back to the spanish that didn't want to work there in the first place!
Anyhoo back to OP, SWMBO was reading about it last night, that was the first time I had heard about it even thoughthe original incident took place, what, 17 months ago. I was shocked, I mean really shocked, WTF was the judge thinking of.
If their religion meant they were not used to alcohol, then why were they out drinking in the first place?
There was some confusing information about the boyfriend trying to defend the girl but they just kept on attacking her, even when the police turned up? Is that right?
Any problems in the town after the verdict?

Leicester is little Asian, in fact I think the immigrant population outnumber the indigenous white.

this is part of the reason this country has had it   these judges need a reality check  although the pc brigade probably think his punishment fits the crime >:( >:(
