Not had to replace any bulbs for failure for probably 10 years.

I have had to change indicator bulbs due to the colour coming off though.

I seem to do quite a lot of those as well,bulbs last well enough but the coating is shite

Get some "silver" ones - the coating doesn't fade, and even my cheapy Ebay ones have lasted well.

Rover popped a dipped beam a couple of years back, and always pops bulbs in high level brake light.

My Omegas seem to kill numberplate bulbs, and once in a bulb moon one of the others.

Having had to change all 4 on my brothers focus and a workmates audi TT this week in the dark my hands are shredded to bits, is there any need for the pathetic wire arrangement surrounded by razor sharp edges when spending 35 grand on a car

In the 2.2, I've only ever had one front side light bulb blow in in 7 years!

Is amazing all these modern cars just a few years old with blown bulbs

On the way home tonight I saw 2 modern cars with blown bulbs. A 10 peugot "box" with 3 sections of his high brake light gone, and a 58 Audi A3 with the O/S tail light section on the boot gone. So their bulbs only last 2 years. I didn't have to change any bulbs on my previous Mig which makes them at least 4 years old.

Only one on the Omega. The number plate bulb. On MOT day

as said most cars now need to go into a garage to have a new headlight bulb,
on my old mgzs (rover 45) the battery had to come out to do one side,
