Wild weather up here
« on: 08 December 2011, 17:06:35 »

The met office declared a code red
Had to close work early today lots of debris blowing out of the skips (doors, plastic, etc)
Then got e-mail from the boss to batten down the hatches as all council buildings/services are suspended as of 12:00.
The wind is realy bad in the Central belt the M9 is closed from Edinburgh north to Stirling.
Bridges across the Forth are closed lots of lorrys on there sides M8 about to be closed at Hearthill.
My mate is stuck in Edinburgh he can't get home due to the traffic also seen lots of wheelie bins flying and its heading south

And one has had to be taken down as the blades / turbine were going to fast, as you say 'the wrong kind of wind' so not quite the answer to our energy problems that some would have us believe..... ::) ::) ::)

This storm has a nasty sting in it's tail there forcasting blizzards :o tonight and in the early hours so i'd phone and check first.
It was lucky no kids were on the bus(decker) that was blown over in Ayrshire.
Nicola Sturgoen(plastic pig) was wright to tell all schools to close in the west and all others at 1200 or it would of been alot worse if there were kids on the bus
