And by hanging on to gears in sport mode I mean...

When playing in sport mode, come up on some traffic, settle down into bimbling mode at say 60mph, and it will hold the lower gear for a good 5-10 seconds before the car also settles down into bimbling mode. Does make me wonder, but all 3 I've owned(however briefly) did/do it.

There are no real hills round here though, and might well be differant software for the 2.6...?
