^^^ That's exactly how I did mine.
The problem I had was that the replacement I got was the wrong one (surprise!) so I mounted it below the air box pro tem - just til I get another (correct) one.

Hey ho... it's running!

I have an easy method for changing DIS packs.

Tools needed:
A plank of wood.
Another plank, AKA The Useless Student...

 ;D ;D ;D :y

ps: plank of wood is good idea , I'm scared me or the mechanics will break something whenever we work :y
and the picture is a nice memory , keep it :)

Good luck, EMD. Looks like you got it sorted  :y

I have just got to clean breathers at the weekend and replace plenum. Going to also take the HBV out and replace so I can tick that on my ''Done'' list of the many jobs that may/will come up.

When cleaning breathers is there any attention I need to give to the 4 tubes that attach to the breather bridge?

I usually take the breathers off and make sure the are clear all the way through , the only one that was partially blocked on mine was the small pipe to the metal housing like the one you asked about the other day and all the rest were clean . The one on the housing has a small brass connector which needed unblocking on mine , luckily it came out with the pipe after a bit of wriggling . In the past on my other migs some of the pipes were thick with mayo so used carb cleaner and a wire to poke through the mayo  :y

It seems to count the Y piece as one tube, which I suppose it is.The other small one doesnt tend to get blocked up so much ime,but might as well clean it while your doing the others. :y
