Title: ticking when cold after new cambelt
Post by: bigfoot55 on 21 July 2012, 15:17:12
Hi , keep getting ticking noise from cold after i fitted new cambelt kit , so checked timing again all ok . but lazer cranklock seems to meet the waterpump past where tdc marks line up , so gave up with that and used the marks on the crank to line up & the rest of the locking kit for the top half, still ticks . i dont know which to trust crank lock or not. HELP :'(

sounds more like ex manifold gasket to me, usual when cold then goes away when warmed up.
