Nah its all good , just the lack of air/con pump and condenser making it slightly uncomfy in the car :y Sunroof though for burning the head ::) :y

It's too wet!
It's too cold!

Mind you, it's easy for me to be like that when I can swan around in shorts ;D ;D ;D
Fluids are indeed the order of the day :y

Btw i found the best substitute for cool airflow through the car is front windows up, back windows down , swmbo mouth at full rpm ;D

Similar here Cem. It hit 45C here today and wth a 20kt wind it makes life miserable. That said it gets to a cool 28C at night whereby I feel comfortable doing my 5 and 10km runs.

Last two hours have been my absolute favourite time of day. It's been boiling hot working on the cars. Pottering about the garden etc
But a nice hot shower, then turn down the temp to as cold as I can bear.
Couple of cold bears.
Tea on the decking. Nice and cool relaxing evening. I wouldn't be anywhere else during a British summer.
Except when working. Either at work or on cars outside. But mustnt grumble. It's the Olympics soon. :)
Ps, anything over 30 degrees is just wrong. :o

Seems that everything wants to bite me, and from visiting ex-pat parents found this stuff called AfterBiteXTRA it is FANTASTIC. It numbs and removes itching straight away. it wiffs a bit to start with. Might be on ebay, not seen it in the shops in the highstreet, might be a bit strong for us lot!

I thought it was pretty hot outside yesterday .. until I got to the hotel room in Solihull. Fark me, it was like sitting in a sauna all night; zero airflow, no aircon, no fan. At one point I had cold, wet towels all over me and I was sweating like a whore in a nunnery.
Good job I wasn't trying to make a good impression on my (relatively new) girlfriend or anything.. ;D ;D
-

cem, that is the thing that gets me in hot weather. I reckon anything over 26 deg C in bedroom is useless for sleep. Good luck with your 34 deg C. 8) 8)
I used to think it was very quaint that the Spanish have a little sleep (siesta) in the afternoon but it is so hard to get enough sleep each day as the best time for working (early mnorning ) is also the best coolest time for trying to sleep.

That's exactly how I'd describe my condition on arriving at the gliding club last night (7.5 miles in this heat by bicycle - what was I thinking?). ;D
Luckily, the first job was winch driving, and the cabs are air conditioned. :y

finally some clever person understand that working hours design is big stupidy in summer especially in hot countries.. :) :y :y
now I came from outside, its averaging 41-42 degrees .. rooms in work all have AC but no ones working ;D half of them is in summer vacation and half is in sleep mode.. as its ramadan time people fasting (I'm not) , so sleepless hungry and thirsty (I'm not, they say I'll burn in hell- what hell here is already hell anyway ;D ) in that hot weather.. and besides dont let me sleep also.. :(

I'd imagine that gliding conditions improve in hot weather Kevin? Better thermals? ???
-
Working above the drivers pedals today. Left the kick panel on the seat.
On re fitting, I could barely touch the kick panel it was that hot. :o
-

No such rule here, sadly.. worse still, the corridor outside the room was a good 5C cooler and much more pleasant. Still, we drove around with the roof down on the M3 half the night, anyway ;D (And the other half we spent doing things that would have got us kicked out if we'd propped the room door open.. ;D)
Speaking of, having been for a drive around town today (Chris, I know what you mean about interior trim, I think my palms are still stuck to the steering wheel) I've decided I like this weather - all the pretty girls appear wearing next to nothing.
'course I live in Bracknell, so most of them are 14 and pushing a pushchair... ;D
-
I'd imagine that gliding conditions improve in hot weather Kevin? Better thermals? ???
Yes and no, it's quite a fickle thing.
Yes, you need heat to generate thermals and we have plenty of that at the moment. You also need an atmosphere that is unstable enough that convection can take place readily and, ideally, that allows thermals to condense into cumulus cloud at a good height, so you have a nice cloud marking the location of each thermal.
I haven't been watching the weather that closely recently but prolonged high pressure such as we currently have tends to stabilise the atmosphere to the extent that we have weaker thermals not making it up into cooler air where condensation takes place, so blue skies with little clue where the thermals are.
Or.. there are those of us who are simply glad it's stopped raining. ;)
The weather can't be that bad. it was good enough yesterday for our Deputy Chief Flying Instructor to get into a spot of bother. :-X
