Are plenum bolts unique to vx? Or are they a standard size and thread that could be obtained elsewhere?
Just wondering if a longer bolt could be sourced and still fit properly?

Why? Guess they are standard metric thread though ;)

i think they are m8 thread. if you have knackerd the thread,in the intake, just run a tap down the thread.should restore it,as its only alloy.

Or you may need a replacement inlet manifold if thread really goosed, or maybe consider helicoiling ;)
-
Thanks for that.
Theres no damage caused or anything, but it might be a useful way of attaching a bracket to the plenum ....... ::)
I'll try m8 and see how it goes when the time comes :y

why replace or helicoil, when just go up a size to m10,if theres enough material.

Thats true, assume sufficient clearance in the plenum itself for bolt and head?

stripped one on mine-drilled/heli coiled in situ - easy really blew filings away with airline :y
