Sorry fellas, but I have to be the bearer of sad news to you. :(
I have received a message from Jane, which is printed below......its self explanatory
Hi Tony & Christine
Very sad news I am afraid the doctors have decided that they cannot continue to treat Paul. Kings cannot treat Paul as he now has a number of infections in his organs and a lot of pressure in his brain. They cannot transport him to London as they feel he would not make the journey even if they could think of a way to get him there. They cannot put a shunt in because of the infection and that there is only a very slim chance he would survive the operation. People will be paying their last respects tomorrow and everything will be taken away wed I think and nature will take its course :'( :'(
Thank you to everyone for their love and support
Jane & Paul

This is desperately sad news but not entirely unexpected given what the poor lad has been trying to overcome. However, where there's life there's hope and if this illness can be beaten then I reckon Paul is the type of bloke to do it. We are all praying and hoping for his recovery and our Thoughts and Best Wishes go to Jane and family at this trying time :(

Very sad news indeed and at times like this I always feel my words are inadequate :-\ but since we initially heard the news about Paul my thoughts have been with him, Jane and their family and will continue to be so.... :'( :'( :'(
-
Our thoughts are with you all specifically as I lost my young cousin to a similar incident all but a few years ago so I have some understanding of the torment.
Be assured he will be thankful of your love through this and may some of the difficult decisions and questions I know you will shortly face be easy.

This is devastatingly bad news. Where I have never met Paul personally he was part of the OOF family. If there is anything the Doz household can do at this very desperate time please just ask.
-
i have never met Paul , but my thoughts and prayers are with you all :(
-
Very sad and upsetting news. Our thoughts, love and hope are with you both xxxx
-
We do not appreciate life and suffering until we are there to share in sad times like this even when it involves those we have never met but have had some link via a small community such as this. Maybe it is because it is closer to home.
I wish for great family strength and support of friends to guide Paul and Jane in this tragic situation.
Phil

Very sad news indeed our thoughts are with you both

I am so sorry to hear this. Not being entirely unexpected doesn't make it easier.
Just met Paul once at the High Wycombe meet. So fun and full of it.
-
I have no words at this very sad time, but as said before, 'where there's life'. I have lit a candle for Paul, should any others wish to do so, click on the link, I have put it under the group OOF.
Thinking of you Paul and Jane. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=OOF

I know I don't get on here much these days, but James just told me about this awful news via Facebook. Me and Jan kind of took Paul and Jane under our wing on their very first Omega meet at Newent a few years ago, as they had never been to a car meet before and didn't really know anyone. We became extremely good friends from that weekend onwards and Paul invited me to his home in Kent a couple of times, although we were unable to make it, but that's the kind of guy he is. I just hope and pray that by some miracle he can pull through this and my thoughts are with with Jane and his family.
-
So sorry to hear this news, my thoughts go out to Jane, and Paul's family
Will miss Paul's banter and wonderful sense of humour :'(
-
Feared this news come but didn't want to believe it :(
If the end comes, one thing is for certain, Paul will never be forgotten on Oof and those who had the good fortune to meet him or chat with him will always remember the crazy banter with him.
Thoughts with Jane and all the family at this time
Steve, Brenda and family :(
