I recall some comments on here regarding somewhere that does decent wiper blades at a good price.
Could someone point me in the right direction please, it's non-Vauxhall, for SWMBO's car which could do with a set.

I use them on the 3.2, with its poxy, over zealous rain sensing wipers. On the MV6, I use Bosch tradional style wipers, seem to have a better ability to remove shite from the screen in the summer. In the weather we've been having, seem to clear heavy rain better at high speed.
I recommend either, the Bosch ones are worth paying a bit extra for (although the Aeros are not nearly £25 a pair (for the Omega fitting) on Hellfrauds trade now :'().

Indeed. Bob Dent recommended aero twins on here. On my second set in almost 4 years. :)
No pressure points from the springs, so minimal scratches, no lifting even at high speeds....even before applying rain x, which I find improves performance again. Although my commute is almost all motorway or motorway speeds. :)
Can't fault twins performance personally.

Are the (allegedly) 'rain sensitive' wipers accessible/adjustable with Tech2?
I have had endless opportunity to observe the (non) performance of mine over the last week and they always get it wrong >:(
Occasionally they will vigorously polish a dry screen but usually they remain inactive until long after it is possible to see safely (when an intermittent wipe would have worked fine). Useless........

He's suggested not in the past.
Yours sound entirely out if kilter with mine, which i think are great. With slight reservations on waking them up occasionally, and wanting one sweep, instead of three from the wash wipe while the wipers are on. Otherwise I find them entirely accurate. Like the cc, just leave them to do their thing, rather than watch the wipers instead of the road, so to speak, if you see what I mean, like. Ish. :)

You mean summertime flies who commit suicide on my screen? I guess no 2 bugs are the same after their arses have disappeared through their mouths, and rubbed themselves over my glass. But you get the picture.

Outside my experience (I prefer cogs) - can you remove the system, at least partly (perhaps remove the wiring to the sensor) and replace with a normal intermittent stalk? Or will it just go doolally?

I don't know how much of the standard wiring is present :-\ I doubt whether the rain sensitive wipers will be in the Haynes wiring diagrams, will have to have look.
My ideal would be to keep the existing system but have it working as intended. Might be worth trying a different sensor (assuming it isn't glued to the screen).

And they once it starts, if it detects rain a million miles away, it will polish the already dry screen dry as fast as it can.

Speed 1 = Speed 1
Speed 2 = Speed 2
Mine does seem to respond OK when the rain starts, it is just useless when I need an intermittent wipe. I am forever switching off & on again to provoke a wipe.
I don't particularly want your wipers but Chris's sound ideal.......
