I brought halfords cherry scented screen wash and so far so good, what do others use on here?
Thought this would be a change due to the amount of tyre threads started today  ;D

			-
				Blue one :D :D :D
Don't know what ever's going cheap :y

			-
				cheap Prestone stuff.
bought 12 cases of 6x 5l bottles for 20 quid about 5 years ago at a bankruptcy auction.
leaves a small amount of white powder on the screen, but not too bad.
I think Morrisons still sell it.

Asda washing up liquid. Bit foamy...... ;D

			-
Normally GM Opticlean, works well and wont freeze.
Currently using a different cheaper one they recommended and it seems fine (its name esacpes me for the moment)

+1 plus smells rather nice.
As for freezing I've no idea, Not really been cold enough to know for certain, Only been using for past 8 months or so also.

I think whats in the cars is mostly Holts, as I picked up a bucketload cheap. I'm topping it up with some right ol' pikey stuff at the moment. Does the job. Just.

You need to. Fortunately your CD doesn't have headlight washers, so you can't knacker that pump of nozzles. You'll find the guaze under the screen pump clogs soon with a whitem stringy slime.
Screenwash has additives to prevent this growth, as well as provide a better clean and antifreeze properties.

If they all cost the same, I'd use opticlean, as I think it does work very well, though maybe a tad foamy on prefacelifts with headlight washers (less impact on facelift headlight washers for some reason).
But opticlean has become a tad pricey, esp the amout Mrs TB gets through this time of year!

Good offer on screen wash here at the moment
LINK (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=331143382630)
Buy x4 and it will work out as £7.08 for 20 Litres

If Opti clean is the gm stuff, I don't like the chalky residue it leaves.
While the car plan types may be inferior in other areas, I don't know, it leaves no residue at all afaict.

Yeah, not having a black car, that's less important to me. Besides, gives the Kosos a task...

Colour irrelevant to the windscreen and from the driver seat. ;D
Conclusion was drawn from the previous car, if you notice the dates in the link. 2010 ;)

Assumed you meant the mess it made of bodywork. Not found any issues with cleaning/visibility when I've used it. Just too expensive

Chalky marks in the screen. Ooh no. Unacceptable.

I certainly did. Happy with the Macro stuff though. ESP given cost

Apple flavour concentrate from The Range  :y

			-
use the prestone stuff myself.  good stuff

			-
Cheapo poundshop stuff for me.diluted down too as I have aquapel rain repellent on my windscreen so doesn't need to be that concentrated to do the job.

Now I know this I will be sure to use something (most likely autoglym) as I don't need that headache in my life  :y

				Lidl home brew screen wash.
About a fiver a gallon and does what it says on the label  :)

			-
GM stuff because its the cheapest I find, mainly becuase it give brilliant freeze protection at high dilution rates.
I think I use about 5 litres a year over the two cars and 30K miles

Sadly, Mrs TB has headlight washers, drives in at stupid o'clock in the morning, and uses washers at the first hint of a bit of dirt hitting the screen. 6.3l (diluted, obviously) a week isn't unusual if she drives every day  :-[
Tradeclub website is broken again, mainly because its looked after by mongrels, but seem to recall its well over £7 for 5l now...

Oh no! No no no!
Costco now dear boy. :)
(Edit, yes actually, from our Reading days ::) )

Costco haven't had a decent screenwash offer (like bogof) since I redistributed mine around West Northants. The Holts stuff is "OK" but needs to be used a bit stronger in the winter.

Macro have had metal shelving on offer for months, if looking to replace yours? Btw
http://store.makro.co.uk/t-shelving.aspx
It's nowhere near as sturdy as your previous stuff though.

The Costco ones are a shade over £50 each, so I'll stick with them when a) I get a garage, b) can "borrow" a car they will fit in ;D
I thoroughly recommend them - if I can use them as a ladder, they must be robust  :-[
