Title: Who says you can't buy a decent motor for a £1000?
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 17 July 2014, 17:32:05
With this little beauty you need never be short of female company again.

With the the mighty 700 cc engine taken from the Regal three wheeler (plastic pig) this is a car for the performance driver.

Go on.......buy it......you only live once. Fighting off the girls with a stick will be your only problem. :-* :-* :-*

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you ...........THE REBEL. :y

I'm also tempted. If I sell the MV6 and then add about £300 it could be mine. :)

A good late example of Vauxhall's executive flagship from the 1990's - early 2000's, with at the very least a 2.5 V6 perhaps?  ;)  :y

The Reliant won't go fast enough to cause much damage to either the car or the pigeon if it hit one.  ;) I've been a passenger in its 3 wheeled brother ....... an experience if ever there was one.  :o  ;D ;D

These cars were a joke in the 70's, let alone now.

In fact it was in about 1972 that I saw what was left of a three wheeler fibre glass shell scattered across a major road.  The engine and seats were the only things left intact and recognisable!! :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm surprised the seats stayed where they should have been ...... the chassis rots where the seats bolt down

If you think that 3 wheel Reliants are bad, take a good look at their replacements Aixams or Ligiers. They're hysterically crap, and then you discover how expensive they are. That said, the mechanic I know at the local dealer says that their customer base is seriously decreasing, as most of the 'need to drive a car on a M/C licence' have died.

My mate rolled a Plastic Pig with three of us in it, went over a couple of times and them slid down the road on my side. The guy in the back was standing in the middle of road before I managed to climb out through the windscreen god knows how I never noticed him :o. The driver was hanging suspend by his seat belt and I had to go back in and lift him up to  release the belt wherby he duly dropped into the passenger well ;D ;D . The funniest thing was we couldn't find the battery when we went to disconnect it for the fire risk ( I've seen one of those go up).The three of us picked it up from the centre of a three lane carriageway plonked it on the verge and buggered off to the fish and chip shop where we were going in the first place :y. The local bobby on his bike saw it and was white as sheet, luckily we were fine...... never again ;D ;D ;D. Went back the following morning for a look and how we all survived let alone with no injuries I'll never know it was a total wreck :y :y.
