Please can anyone tell me what the (air vac pump) that works the h.b.v. for the heater looks like....any pics or part number would help so that I can look it up....as try as I may I just cant find it on my 2.2 omega anywhere...looked by the pollen filter and tried to trace the air tubes but to no avail....so if I knew what it looked like I would know what I am looking for ..thanks.... :-\ :-[ :y

There is no pump, the vacuum is from the inlet manifold - rear bottom you will see a pipe connected. Behind the pollen filter is a vacuum tank.

Assuming that engine is petrol of course.
Diesel engines do need a pump which is often part of the alternator. Don't know what was fitted to the Omega 2.2 diesel :-\

Check the vac guides written by MDTM. They are for a V6, so ignore the multiram stuff, but the rest is the same :y

for information: omega 2.2 diesel has vacuum pump in head of camshaft, if engine is started she will produce vac

As do most diesel powered cars... OPs car is petrol... vac comes from throttle body :y
