air vac pump

Please can anyone tell me what the (air vac pump) that works the h.b.v. for the heater looks like....any pics or part number would help so that I can look it up....as try as I may I just cant find it on my 2.2 omega anywhere...looked by the pollen filter and tried to trace the air tubes but to no avail....so if I knew what it looked like I would know what I am looking for ..thanks.... :-\ :-[ :y

There is no pump, the vacuum is from the inlet manifold - rear bottom you will see a pipe connected. Behind the pollen filter is a vacuum tank.

Assuming that engine is petrol of course.

Diesel engines do need a pump which is often part of the alternator. Don't know what was fitted to the Omega 2.2 diesel :-\

Good point, I made a assumption is was 2.2 petrol - oops  :o

Check the vac guides written by MDTM.  They are for a V6, so ignore the multiram stuff, but the rest is the same :y

As do most diesel powered cars... OPs car is petrol... vac comes from throttle body :y
