Title: getting old
Post by: Richie London on 02 October 2011, 13:20:43
Had my first proper night out yesterday for 6months and found it very difficult to keep up. admitidly   i started out at 1pm but by 10.30 i had to sneak off and go home.  the lager in the bar must be the worse I've ever had in my life. so 4hrs of double archers took its toll. i think i was the oldest one there so had more chance of pulling a hernia than a bit of tottie. guess its time to put away the espredrills and the farah trousers and start going to bingo or drink in the legion with the coffin dodgers. welcome to stmo's world   :( :( ;D ;D

I'm gonna open an over 50's life cover tomorrow to get a free pen to do a will in the shopping centre and then get do not ressusitate tattooed on my chest.  Things are looking good :( ;D ;D

I've never been a big drinker, but now I get hangovers when I never used to!

I went to the optician last summer for an eye test.
Sat down, and the bloke said "It's only been 18 moths since your last test, and we said 2 years for the next one, has anything changed?"

I couldn't find the previous prescription, and thought I might as well have new  glasses made to an up to date one, but said that I found myself looking under my glasses when doing paperwork in the lorry.

The git didn't even look up from the form he was filling out, just said "That will be your age."

I han't been forty for a week a that point, and it's all I've been hearing since!
