Hi all, Ive bought a boot spoiler for my 2002 saloon haven't received it as of yet but I've been told that to fit it you glue it on ? ??? I thought they would have been bolted on but anyways ::) does anyone know what type of glue is required and where I could buy some from, has anyone actualy put one on their omega if so any tips :D Thanks in advance :)
-
I am only presuming its glued on let me know if I'm wrong lol : :D
-
Yes I think it is glued on, and I know that my MFL also had a self tapper in each end as well. I believe they can be quite difficult to remove so must be well stuck in the first place!
There are a few members who have added lip spoilers in the past so I'm sure someone more helpful will be along before it arrives :y

Sikaflex.Maybe different types/compounds though,so may be best to wait for someone to post up the exact product.

It's the same black stuff that's used on windscreens
-
almost the same stuff that's used on windscreens - look for a Polyeurethane adhesive from a tube, such as Tigerseal
or indeed Sikaflex as posted above.
Silicone is NOT the stuff to use here.
-
Tigerseal or Sikaflex as already said.
Facelift spoilers are only glued on, no other fixings are used. :y

Sikaflex 291 is used a lot in the marine environment and is intended for extreme conditions. As such if you use that make it is on correctly because once it cures it will never come off.

Correct really good but would recommend Sikaflex 291UV for external as will not break down in sunlight as quick
