What sort of glue does one need to fit a boot spoiler ?

Hi all, Ive bought a boot spoiler for my 2002 saloon haven't received it as of yet but I've been told that to fit it you glue it on ?  ??? I thought they would have been bolted on but anyways  ::) does anyone know what type of glue is required and where I could buy some from, has anyone actualy put one on their omega if so any tips  :D Thanks in advance  :)

Yes I think it is glued on, and I know that my MFL also had a self tapper in each end as well. I believe they can be quite difficult to remove so must be well stuck in the first place!
There are a few members who have added lip spoilers in the past so I'm sure someone more helpful will be along before it arrives  :y

It's the same black stuff that's used on windscreens

almost the same stuff that's used on windscreens - look for a Polyeurethane adhesive from a tube, such as Tigerseal

or indeed Sikaflex as posted above.

Silicone is NOT the stuff to use here.

Tigerseal or Sikaflex as already said.

Facelift spoilers are only glued on, no other fixings are used.  :y

Sikaflex 291 is used a lot in the marine environment and is intended for extreme conditions.  As such if you use that make it is on correctly because once it cures it will never come off.

thats what i used to put spoiler on my 4x4 5yrs ago and it not moved yet lol

also has 2.6 mv6 estate 2001, hilux surf 3.0, vectra 2.0 lpg 2000

Correct  really good but would recommend Sikaflex 291UV for external as will not break down in sunlight as quick
