Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Replacing Aerial
« on: 14 March 2012, 10:12:14 »
I am looking to replace my aerial as the current one is broke and does not fit with the spoiler some on has put on.
I am sure i have read a thread on here about replacement but can not seem to find it again  ???

Any how, I need to replace it with one that is sort of vertical one.

Would this then be the right attachment for connecting a new aerial up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350535853124?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Thanks  :y

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?
« on: 10 March 2012, 13:41:21 »
Well, another day at the car today.
Changed the cam sensor, so far so good  :y
Gave her an oil and filter change  8)

That should be it for a while now, apart from rear electric windows, seat looms to make my leather heated, rear grab handle lights and find an aerial that fits properly as some on has put a spoiler on so i cant have a proper whip bit.  :-[

Just to update:

Got the windscreen wiper puller thingy and managed to get them off but they were stuck hard!  :o
Stripped all the scuttle off, cleaned everything and drained off the foam padding.  :y
Placed some sealant around the top of the scuttle to prevent water getting back into the foam padding.
Replaced the windscreen strip thing properly and made sure it was all clipped in.  :y

Hopefully now i wont have this problem again  :D

« on: 08 March 2012, 19:55:40 »
Ok. I have stripped a car of its interior and the rear has electric windows. Mine has manual windy windows so i want to upgrade  :y

Any who, the electric windows in the donor car are up, there is no way of getting them down. Is it possible to still remove them?

It'd be difficult for any decent penetrating oil to get between the tapers ......... WD40 isn't even a reasonable penetrating oil  ;) ;)
Bugger  :-\

You'll need to get yourself something similar to one of these ..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=puller+wiper be careful though with the cheapest pullers because the legs will bend before separating the wiper arms form the taper spindles.  :y
Thanks, will order one later  :y
