Sorry Lads I gave you a bum steer I had two codes 730 and 340 I got rid of the 340 it was a loose plug on the sensor as I broke the lug off it the last time I fitted a new genuine cam sensor about 18 mths ago,so now I am only left with a 730 .Im getting too old and doddery its time I was on a lead.Sorry George.

Thank you for all your help lads I am going to order a solonoid tomorrow it will take 5 days to get as it has to come from Germany and it costs 127 euro inc v.a.t.which I think is cheaper than ordering from the U.K when you factor in the diff. in sterling and shipping.I will keep you posted on outcome and thanks again to Mr.Cube. George.

Good morning lads I bought a new radiator a spurious one that the supplier says is the correct one.The problem is looking from the front right everything looks o.k.on left bottom hose side there are two other connections that are not on the rad.I am taking out is it the wrong rad .or do you just blank them off. Thank you lads George.

Check for airleaks around the trunking from MAF to throttle body. Have you unplugged the MAF to see if the symptoms disappear/change

Hiya Lads,
Did what Kevin said switched engine off pumped to a hard pedal and switched back on pedal dropped a bit.I forgot to mention that after stopping and while taking off again the car moves like the clutch is slipping and then starts to race while not moving any faster this problem is intermittant but very frequent .Any further help would be appreciated I cant understand how it got better for a short time after changing the plugs and cleaning up the coil pack. Thanks for the help Lads George.

Hiya Lads,
I have a problem with the engine revving up when I am braking .The problem first occured in Dec.2011 after the car was lying up covered in snow for 3 to 4 weeks.I found the plug wells full of water ,I did a job on the scuttle and I think I solved that problem ,the car was driving a lot better after that but has now gone back to its old prob. The car drives well with no problem when its on the Motorway I was wondering if the coilpack was on its way out I would be grateful for any help before replacing the coilpack .I cannot find any breather pipes damaged either.Thank Lads George.
