Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: OMEGA 2.2 - WON'T START

Thanx for the tip man... I will double check again.  The thing a out the temp sensor was just because of the plug not clicking tight onto the sensor resulting in the error code...

Perhaps the other thing worth noting is that there code reader mentioned that the injection relay is inactive... Could it be anything else apart from the crank sensor?

Hallo guys... I am the mechanic working on the this particular car.
I just re-ran tests  on the car and I believe it is the crank sensor...

Actually I replaced the original sensor with a second hand sensor I had. We will have buy a new sensor and then we will let everyone know the outcome.   :y

I have been to the skeleton coast three times...I really love the isolation there, but you need an AWD vehicle. I you been there Sir Tigger?

Any way I use the omega as a long distance cruiser when I visit other towns...the omega is in its element for long distance driving. Namibia has long open distance between towns which the omega eats up with ease and comfort.

Thanks for that reply man...

I think i can live without traction control, that is if there is no way of getting it to work.

and what about the trip computer, would you know where it reads from?

My concern is that how difficult it will be to get the speedo and trip computer to work of the 1uzfe engine and transmission...do you guys think it is even possible?

But if it can be done...wow

thanks for your reply, I have hade the transmission serviced and a new filleter fitted and since then it has now been poping out of gear so to say. I have also noted an increase in fuel consumption and rough gearing.

hi guys...i must get straight to the point. I have owned an Opel omega 2.6 for the past 5 years and she has been good to me for all that time. Of recent she has been giving me transmission problems(automatic transmission). I am now thinking of a complete engine and transmission swap for a  Toyota 1uzfe V8 engine...

I am living in Namibia and opel omega transmissions are hard to come by, thus the idea to up power with the Toyota 1uzfe and at the same time mend my transmission problem...

I realy love my omega even if it means driving it with a power plant from toyota...ANYBODY OUT THERE DID IT BEFORE?
