Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Fld/Vision Warning?
« on: 09 November 2008, 20:37:20 »
Hi all,

Since changing the front brake pads I'm getting the Fld/Vision error. Is this coincidence or does jacking up the car cause this?

Cheers

Bryan

Car now has a massive 204k miles, I've had it since about 140k and apart from some minor probs its been magic. Must admit i've never topped up or changed the ATF. Gear change is only a gentle thud, no slip, no noise so might be lucky. Incidentally, TC was off at the time. Anyway - ATF change and crossed fingers ;-)

Omega General Help / Autobox rough 1st to 2nd
« on: 10 March 2009, 22:10:04 »
Hi,

During the recent heavy snow I discovered how useless the Omega is. Climbing a long hill in a blizzard it just would not grip (snow mode on or off) so there was a lot of wheel spin. After about 10 minutes an Auto Transmission error appeared on the display. I stopped the engine for around 15 mins and when I restarted the error had gone. Since then however, during normal driving there is a bit of a thump changing from 1st to 2nd but it does go. No probs in any other gears or changing down. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like you're describing my car! Same year same model, same problems and LPG in the way. Guess this will save me asking ;-)

Good luck

Excellent thanks Lazydocker, looks like I will be sticking with Omegas for a while then. Anyone north of the border or not too far south of it fancy the job?? I'm way to lazy to do it myself ;-)

Omega General Help / LPG transfer.
« on: 19 February 2009, 21:20:10 »
Hi. I have a 2000(W) 2.5 V6 thats getting a wee bit tired with 204,000 miles on the clock. The cars generally excelent but I would like to change to a newer perhaps 03 model. My question is, is it feasable to transfer the £2000+ multi-point LPG system from one Omega to another and would the fact that the newer ones are 2.6 not 2.5 make a difference.

Omega General Help / Re: Remote Locking

Hi bud. Would that not affect just one door? none of them nor the boot respond. The central locking is okay manually.

His programming machine confirmed the program was accepted by the new fob and promped to press lock to test, pressing any button though did nothing and the prompt remained. He tested the key was transmitting and it was. The old key always worked till a solder joint on the battery holder failed, i have now had this repaired but this wont work either. Its like the keys are shouting but the car's deaf!!

Hi guys. Tried the resync with both the new key and the old one which i think i've repaired but no response. Its like the car's not receiving the signal. I suppose both keys could be naff but it seems unlikely.

Omega General Help / Remote Locking
« on: 28 January 2009, 22:05:24 »
Hi. My one and only remote key stopped working back in December, having replaced the battery i assumed the fob had given up. I bought a brand new complete key, had it professionally cut, an immobiliser chip installed and programmed. The remote itself was also paired but despite checking I have the right fob (Delphi 3 button / alarm) it will not lock/unlock the doors. It is transmitting and acceped reprogramming but just wont work. Central locking works okay using the key manually. Can anyone shed any light or tell be where the remote receiver lives.

Thanks

Bryan
