I have changed my oil filter to the spin on type,as I was having trouble getting the end cap off, even with a filter wrench on the cartridge body, the whole thing was turning against the eng. block when I tried to unscrew the end cap.So I found a good piece of bar, drilled a hole in cartridge body, pushed the bar in, then unscrewed the end cap, which I reckoned took about 150ft.pounds.The paper cartridge inside looked like it had never been changed. All you need then is a12mm allan key (Ihad to go and buy one) to unscrew the connector. All you then need is a spin on filter and correct connector(£3+vat) From then on you are saving £3 on each change
