Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Radio display problem
« on: 17 November 2007, 00:02:36 »
My 2.2cd is fitted with CDR 2005 radio, I have noticed that on the display unit there is no info. in relation to radio, all other info is there and when radio is switched off date appears in central band on display, switch radio on and that band is blank I assume this is where radio info is shown as per manual, I have also discovered a mike behind rear/view mirror and a socket for a jack plug under ashtray.Could this be a connection for mobile phone, and if so could this have some bearing on radio situation? :-?

best to have read again, although previous faults may show in ECU history pay attention to faults that are shown as present.  Sounds to me like the faults that appeared when I had problem with my cam sensor, but reading should show this. Good luck.

Is problem only when engine is cold or continuous, is it low gears only?

Omega General Help / COOLANT LEVEL DROPING no apparent leak
« on: 25 November 2010, 17:39:18 »
Hi. :-/  My coolant level has been falling for the last few days and the heater takes ages to work, and even then to get normal heat high revs are required, on previous cars i found this to be caused by faulty or sticky thermostat but not sure if this can be the case in the Omega, the fact that heat is eventually coming through suggests to me that the matrix is working, water bottle is still presurising. Any suggestions ??  :-/

Omega General Help / Re: start problems

Bad starting on a deisel usually points to Glow plugs, but once started should run. I would be checking fuel pump, has car been serviced recently, dirty oil can cause black smoke, fuel cleaner sometimes helps, keep us posted and someone will help you more than I can.
