That was my thinking last week, and was going to check the stat, til I realised it's not that easy to check! Accordingt to the Haynes manual, you have to remove the inlet manifold...?

Thanks for reply,
Mine seems to fluctuate a fair bit. Usually fine when cruising, if not maybe a little low (most of my driving is mid to late eve or at night, so would explain being a bit low), but can rise up to 100 and higher once slowed down and in traffic. Watching the guage, it twitches about quite sharply at times, but not sure if it's the fan cutting in, or because maybe there's an air block in the system.

Omega General Help / Temperature guage question
« on: 13 August 2008, 20:30:24 »
Hi all,
Just a quick question regarding the temperature guage on  P reg 2.5 auto. Where is the usual position for normal operating temperature?
Thanks.

Anyone any thoughts on this little problem...?

Sorry, meant to say, after arming the car (with the flashing LED), the alarm goes off after a few minutes.

Hi all,
Bought myself a 1996 2.5 CD estate last Sunday. Car seems good, a few niggles, but nothing major. First question is regarding the alarm. When setting with the keyfob, the interior LED flashes immediately, which according to the manual means there is a problem. Previous said it may be because the battery was changed on the car. If I follow the re-programming procedure, first time I arm, it works fine (this is with me still in the car), but if I open the drivers door and shut it again, with me either in or out, and try to arm, the LED flashes again. It seems the cause must be in the drivers door, a lock switch or something. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks in advance...
