Currently she has 128755 on the clock

Yeah, the drivers door locks all 4 doors and the boot, I'll try some WD40 in it in the morning, I'll let you know how it goes.
Does it look like I'm needing a new cylinder?

I have 2 keys and they are both the same, they both work without a problem in the passenger door.  Unfortunatly I didn't get the key fob with the car so I cant test that.
When I turn the key in the drivers door I can see the button moving slightly but no joy.  It always lock it 1s try.
When starting the car its as if the keys going too far into the cylinder.
I will point out that this car appears to have had a hard life, a few scrapes and dents,  cracked grille and headlight surround, passenger electric window didn't work, and the interior was disgusing.  There was enough dog hair in it to create a new dog.  I think the problem is general wear and tear but I'm unsure how to procede.
The cars starting to look a bit better after a full professional valet, but even they couldn't shift all the dog hair :'( .
I think I'm gonna start looking for a better interior but in the mean time I'm going to have to settle for seat covers.

Hasn't anyone came across either of these problems before?

I have recently acquired a 1995 Omega 2.0 16v.  I am having a couple of problems with her.
1st off the drivers door will lock with the key but not unlock, 2ndly i need to jiggle the key in the ignition to get er to start.
Could anyone suggest anything to help solve these problems.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone.  Just thought I would introduce myself.  I'm Scott, and I just acquired my 1st Omega.  She's been neglected but I'm doing my best to bring her back from the brink.
This is a great site, I look forward to becoming part of the community.

I learned to drive in an old D reg 2.0 Ltr carlton, beauty of a car, shame about the monstrous back pressure.

It has to be Jack Daniels or Stewarts Cream of the Barley for me.

Your Taxis must be expensive with those overheads, Your rent must be massive.
Not a Taxi Driver.  ;D
Good result on your money though. :D :D

Were actually very cheap......£4 for 1.4 miles....

Dont mind saying i pay my office £105/week radio rent

Up here we charge about £2 for the 1st mile and about £1 a mile after that.  My radio rental is £85 a week with a 5% surcharge for a double shifted car.
