Omega General Help / Re: Biodiesel in my car.
« on: 12 May 2008, 22:24:31 »
Just got two 205l drums of meth for nowt plus free WVO so my biodiesel will be even cheaper - just need to bodge a reactor together. Can't be that hard according to Joshua Tickell. How have you done yours? Hadn't thought of putting it in the Mega but I have two landies and tractor. Your experiences will be invaluable.
Cheers   ::)

Omega General Help / Re: Clutch tyres and headlights
« on: 09 May 2008, 21:45:07 »
Hi All
Thanks for the info - much appreciated. I now know what to look out for. I have just changed a drop link and the difference even with just that not knocking and clinking was suprising. Glad I'm not doomed to lousy lights too.
I'll update when its all done - any clues regarding clutch suppliers?

Cheers
Julian

Omega General Help / Clutch tyres and headlights
« on: 08 May 2008, 08:12:43 »
Hi  - I am new to Omegas and have some simple questions I would appreciate help with regarding my '94 TD estate:
Is the clutch pretty straightforward? I assume the gearbox linkage is as per the other posts here.
My headlights are useless. It looks like theplastic lenses have degraded with UV lilght or something but they are 'cloudy'. Is this normal? Is there a solution or is it replacement? Do HID lights units fit?
My tyres are all worn on the inside edges. Whilst I know I have a worn track rod end, do Omegas have a history of eating tyres especially with old suspension? I have 162k on the clock and the car is feeling a little bit soggy all round.
Thanks in anticipation - sorry for the long first post
Julian
