My 2.2 does exactly the same although I have to say that I tend to change the trans oil about every two years and seems to make little or no difference, as soon as it warms up a bit it changes at low revs. I am told that it is supposed to do this.

I had the same problem until my windscreen broke and was replaced with an RAC Autoglass screen, for some reason the dash doesn't reflect as badly.

Omega General Help / Rear road springs
« on: 14 November 2008, 00:12:25 »
Hi

Does anyone know where I can get some reasonable quality rear road springs for my 2.2 CD petrol (Facelift) without self leveling for slightly less than the £320 asked by local Vauxhall dealers??

Hi, you say you are near Dartford and Reading. I am in Folkestone and have an OBDII reader, if you are relatively local will happily read the codes on that for you.

Thanks for all your help,
The car had been modified and the wire has now been re-joined an although the boot wont open with the key in the ignition, I would much rather have the interior light out when I am driviong at night.

You are the Gods of Omegas and I don't know where I would be without you all!

Thanks again! :)

Yes the boot will open with the key in the ignition, is there anything I can do to reverse this?

Not performed a boot boot as I don't know what one is, the boot works fine but I have only had the car a couple of months so cannot guarantee the previous owner didn't!

Omega General Help / Any ideas?? (Interior Light)
« on: 17 August 2008, 21:43:38 »
Hi Everyone

Has anyone any idea what I can do with my interior courtesy light. When the door is opened the light comes on and stays on for the allotted delay time. However, when the ignition is switched on it remains illuminated. This is the same when the engine is running, if the door is opened at night the light stays on for the delay time even though the engine is running.

Is there a simple fix for this as it makes driving at night a problem if someone gets in or out.

Thanks for your help
Pete

Omega General Help / Re: key fob coding

Was quite disappointed by Dealer in Ashford (Kent) Wanted £79 for a new key for my meggie and then wanted to charge me £37.50 + VAT to programme it. Called Dover and they sold me the key for £76 and programmed it free. Ashford have been really good in the past but not happy at them taking the mick with the key.

Omega General Help / Re: How do I adjust headlights?
« on: 05 August 2008, 22:28:44 »
Managed to adjust it. Didn't take a great deal but the nearside light was pointing almost straight down, it meant that effectively I was using only one light. Set properly now and very happy as I can see at night.

Thanks o all for your help. It's great having you all to fall back on for a variety of problems. :)

God Knows!!! I think he must have been looking for extra work to charge for and then messed it up totally!

Yes the dash adjuster moves it up and down, the problem is that the MOT tester messed about with it. He accidently switched the passenger side light to LHD and then spent ages adjusting it to pass the test so now the drivers beam is fine but passenger beam stops about 10 yds in front of the car, will try again when it's dark!
