hi. was poss on the 8v engine  with adaptor from air line.use the air press to hold the valves in place. :y

hi.have you changed or topped up the oil,if over filled can cause the problem you had(hands up on my part done this with a renault diesel a few years ago). :y

hi.do a compression test first,most common prob at that miles is prob valve stem seals. :y

18/25 round town good 30 plus on a run.last summer swindon(wilts)to euro disney and back .just over 800 miles av 36.1 mostly motorway late eve and early morn driving.(like most i hate driving in heavy traffic)thats why i still like to ride my 30 year old gs750 suzuki. :y

i had to do ex gasket on my 4 potter ,3 broken studs.get a 6mm l/h drill bit,as you drill l/h drill acts as an extractor and on all three removed with no problems.i also removed the thermostat housing for ease of access(mask over stat hsg to stop any bits getting into water system). :y

most discs have min size stamped or cast on them,get the wire brush out. ;D most found on outside face. :y

hi.had low voltage reading on no4 on my 2.2.cleaned plug to injector and that cleared the problem,my uk car also has egr valve. :y

hi all    did have misfire had code po270 low voltage to no4 ing sorted by cleaning connectors,that seems ok now,have in last 4-6 wks changed plugs/checked for oil in plug well/fitted new erg valve,had a lot of what seemed to be instant gasket on board.

thanks for your thoughts.i have the print out  and have checked it to the details i posted earier and they are as printout.the guy who done the mot thinks the problem could be the age off the exhaust ,and have lots of very small pin holes(the exhaust has been repaired in the past,dose not appear to be ready to fall off) the mot tester found it strange that the lambda was approx 1.3 at engine speeds from app2-4000 rpm,closing comment from mot tester was poss air leak on inlet side but had not seen this on the 4 pot eng. :-[ :'(

have just had the car in for mot and it failed for being to lean on one part off emmisions.please can any one help.                                       on a ligther note  you would think to lean means less emmisions.is this not what we have been brainwashed into thinking is better for all.  hay ho.
