Does anyone know where the best place is to get valve stem seals.
Should I go to opel or would you trust ones off ebay?

 .....  less than £30 for valve stem seal sounds good till you cost in head gaskets. Has anyone ever replaced them without taking heads off? I know there are spring compressors for some engines that allow seals to be done in situ, and I made a tool for my Dad's V6 Granada ...... only half the number of valves of an Omega to work around though.
It'd be good (and cheaper & easier ) if the Omega's could be done in situ

Just had a quick check on TIS and you can only done them with the head off, according to GM.

Its seems a bit strange then that is is possible to do the seals on a V6 without having to take the heads off but you loads of KM special tools

Doesn't look like it. Anyway the head is already off with the valves out along with the pistons .

Awaiting for parts to be delivered.

hi. was poss on the 8v engine  with adaptor from air line.use the air press to hold the valves in place.

Holding valves in place is easy - a length of pliable cord shoved down the plug hole & lift the piston up  . The hard bit is usually trying to find somewhere to hold on to so you can compress the valve spring in a controlled manner so you don't ned to look round your garage/garden for the collets!
