Omega General Help / Re: 2.5 TD Glowplugs.
« on: 07 January 2009, 12:49:54 »
I changed my plugs last weekend for the Wellman plugs purchased off EBAY "bought them prior to getting the advice not to" they have gone in ok and are working great even in the bad weather we have been having. I take it you have undone the bracket underneath the manifold also the connection to the turbo piping the inlet manifold should just wiggle off.  I cannot see how it is possible to get to all these plugs without removing the manifold, what i would have to hand is an extendable magnet because i guarantee something will drop to a place where you cannot not reach it. I would allow a day to get the job done take your time and you will be ok. :D

Hi all,
Been searching for an 2.5 TD CD Estate for longer than I can remember, guess what I GOT ONE !!
Picked her up last saturday and it has been worth the wait, drove the 250 miles home and was so impressed with the silky smooth power delivery and the sound for the BMW straight six I AM HOOKED. I dont know if I paid over the odds £1945 for a year 2000 57,000 gen miles with stamps in the book upto 54k.
If anybody has any tips for routine maintance or things to keep an eye on I would welcome any advice.
Many thanks
Jase :y

General Discussion Area / Danger Ambi Pure air freshners
« on: 17 November 2008, 08:43:04 »
I am probably the only person that did not know how lethal these air freshners are to your car, Scenario putting an air freshner in the car kids screaming a list of things to do rushing and not paying attension. YES I put the air freshner upside down it leaked onto the dash bubbled the dash it leaked behind the centre consul pealling and bubbling the paint as it went, still smelt good. So the car ive owned for a week it was in imaculate condition, it now has some not so nice marks on the centre consul.
Beware of these horrible airfreshners I dripped some onto and old radiator and it took the paint back to bear metal!!
Car smells great I feel like a prat.
