Hi all, this cold weather has throne up a starting problem with my 2.5 cd td, have only owned for a month no starting problems prior to the cold weather. how hard is it to get to and change the heater plugs, the car has dome 57k im not sure how long these plugs should last. Any hint or tips would be most welcomed.

Remove the inlet manifold, and you'll see the said plugs.
As a precaution, stuff some rags or paper towels in the inlet ports as soon as you've removed the manifold.

Update your profile, so that we can see where you're at, and what you drive etc. There might be OOF chaps close-by who'll be happy to assist should you need it.

Good on yer Jase,

Don't forget - you'll need six plugs for the job.
And don't fit crappy E-bay ones. Get decent (eg NGK or the like) plugs in the first instance, and be done with it once and for all.

The OEM BMW ones are made by Beru & cost about £11 ea
Don't use the e-bay ones
