i'm off to breaker tommorrow to see if i can get a loom...

tho i might be better getting a new HU (dont see the point in throwing more money at this ) and perhaps someone can advise me on whether i can link in the display and steering wheel controls and what i will need to do this ?

thanks for all your help.

might have a ccr600 and cdc2 for sale very soon!

thanks for info. had panel off only got ecu (alarm etc i think) in there. no sign of connector. can see aerial lead, also found traffic master box and a hell of a loom going backwards.  unless the connector is pushed further up in side i haven't got one.  Looks like i'm stuck without.  Tho one good thing did come out of it, a plug was off the now visable ecu and now the central locking seems to work after reseting fob!

If you can advise where to get the after market loom, i'll give this a try direct onto head unit.

Kind regards,

Chris

this is on a t plate (99) CD model saloon 2.5 v6.

Just really need to get it cd ready as hacked off already with just radio. Also would be nice to keep the display and sterring wheel controls so a replacement HU would not do!

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / ccr 600 cdc2 omega cd 2.5 v6 1999

Hi All, Hoping you can help me.....

I've swapped out old car400 and put in ccr660 HU - all ok, tho a bit tight with cables behind it! all working ok display / controls etc
Now for the changer...

Where should it go ?
Where is the connector ? Has this model got one ? Do i need to make my own ? Where can i get the connector from if so ?

Looked in the boot in first aid compartment - cant see a loom and connector, tho the mounting points for the cage is there.

Also under glove box, there was an old phone kit, connected into a loom, which must goto the HU as it worked through in car audio.  Can this be adapted if req ?

Got pin outs from ccr 600, got pin outs for cdc2, maybe all i need to do is make a few splices ?

Any advice would be appreciated as its getting bloody annoying!!!

Thanks in advance

chris

My omega has developed a wonderful problem.  Sounds like a tractor, seems to be coming from left bank.  Water / Oil OK,runs but ticks over at 500 rpm.

Slow on revs, but will get to 70/80mph, initially wouldnt rev above 3500 rpm.

i imagine ive lost a lead / plug or is it more serious.

any ideas

chris
