GOod points, NOw I am confused,
From TopBuzz,  fault_codes.pdf I found that pins 5&6 should be connected with the engine runnning.
SO I can try this also, do you think I can harm the ECU by trying different pins ??
 8-)

I AM tempted to do that Just so I get my Monies worth out of the thing!!
Problem is that, as I understand it, if you run rich on a car with a Catalizer then U are Likley to Stuff the Cat, SO i`m between a Rock & A Hard place, risk stuffing the Cat, and cost more expence  :-/

Anybody know about Over Fueling , My 1996 2.0Ltr Ecotec 16V Omega has just failed the MOT on Emmissions.

It has been standing for a couple of years, CO 7.42, HC 355, Lambda 0.82, this is far too rich for some reason ??

Lambda sensor has been replaced but this is something much bigger I think, maybe the fuel injectors ?? Its something that gives it Plenty of Fuel, like you have pulled out the Choke, ( The Old boys will know what I`m talking about )
