Thanks all, I am getting the wheel alignment checked today, hopefully that will solve the problem, although it is interesting to here that others have had this problem with pirelli P7s.

Thanks guy's, my problem then seems to be that although there is no play in the steering, I can feel every imperfection on the road surface through the steering wheel i.e the road wheels seem to want to follow any contours on the road surface. Sorry that's the best I can describe the problem Thanks

Omega General Help / Tyre size
« on: 14 October 2009, 11:11:03 »
I have 225/55 R16 tyres fitted by the previouse owner, to my 2.2 petrol 4 cly, rather than the specified 195 s. The wider tyres are normally fitted to the heavier engined cars, therefore should I run the front tyres at 25psi rather than the recommended 30psi as the front end is a lot lighter. I ask as at present the front wheels want to follow small contours in an uneven road surface, the tyres feel over inflated. Thanks

General Car Chat / Driver's Footrest.

Is it just me and my size 11s or does anyone else have a problem in resting their left foot, on long drives or in my case all the time as I have an auto, surely the small protrusion on the left of the footwell is not large enough for this purpose. I have driven many smaller cars with a more than adequate footrest, often a metal plate.Does Vauxhall supply this as a bolt on accessory

General Car Chat / Tech 2 in Glasgow area.
« on: 10 September 2009, 09:01:45 »
I had a tech 2 update to enable cruise control done on my car yesterday at Hallay's, in Milngavie near Glasgow. They are no longer a Vauxhall Dealership, but remain a service agent, their going rate was £27.50 + vat, all above board and legit. Easy to deal with.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a tech 2 update done re enabling cruise control at a reasonable rate, in the greater Glasgow area.

    Thanks
