hi all just brought my 2nd omega the first one had for 6 years....just dropped on a w reg 2.5 cdx which is mint...but when i went on the test run it died ...lost throttle and stalled....3 times on the way back did the same......dealers mechanic said the fuel lines were full of crap cleaned them out and the pump and put a new fuel filter on it......i brought it yesterday 9-5-09...ran around init all day ....idleling a bit rought now and then......later on in the day it died again....after five minutes it started and ran then again no problems......just worried its gonna do it again......think it might be the icv....its w reg with 74k on it ....any suggestions good people out there? 8-) 8-) 8-)

hi there i had a 97 2.5 cd which the cs went.......was told a story by a dodgy mechanic that you can twist the wires together that go to the cs to bypass it........i didnt believe him.....but if it works ...well its a good emergency get you home fix.....

Hi to all those people who like me have great affection for a  very underated car.....just brought my 2nd one the first being a 97 2.5 cd which i ran for 6 years......gave me a couple of headaches...oil cooler......diff.....crank sensor.... but i love the car no less......its comfort.....drive....pulling power....and....quality feel...plus interior size....im a bloke 6ft 5 built like an outhouse !! lol.....i would put against any car...i paid 1600 pounds for my 97 six years ago.....ive just brought a 2000 w reg 2.5 cdx for 1200 pounds....with only 74 k on the clock......a quick trip down the car wash and valet later its ike a new one....its got a niggle but i,ll sort it.......hats off to all those keeping there omegas alive......my first car when i was 17 was a 2.8 granada ghia.....ive always had affection for big cars.....i hope we never see the death of these fantastic cars..........all the best guys and gals.........biga999
