Does this isolate the Power Sounder from the main battery ???
My battery is going flat over 1-2 days ????
Just noticed a little squeeking/alarm noise
just behind the clocks and i can't stop it
by locking/unlocking doors with key OR fob

????????????

PLEASE ! ! ! ! ! !  :-[ :-[

i dont want to hijack this thread but  . . . . . .

Not at all matie . . . . ALL relevant info ! !  ;)

Well, hasn't gone off the past 2 days ?!? So i think i'll try the
alarm during today and then try disconnecting the PS tonite.

That'll let me know if the alarm works before/after.
AND if the slight squeek was because the PS is so flat, then,
it shouldn't make much noise when i take it OFF ! ! ! (?) :-?

7
So, the normal alarm uses the Power Sounder's horn ?

Didn't trip tonite (touch wood) so either the PS has died
completely this time, or, it's got a teensy more charge
into it ?!?!?!?

OR, it wasn't that in the first place  :-/

Have read
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1245274160/7#7
and just in case
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1220198611

Came home last night (Sunday) about 7pm and no probs.
Step-Son come home about 8 and said my alarm was
going off, but no noise ?!?
Sure enough the Indicators were flashing but no noise.
OTHER than a little muted squeeking from bonnet-ish.
Opened/closed and no more all last night......

Drove to work this morning, parked and locked no probs.
About hour later lads at work said "lights flashing, but no
noise" . . . . same thing again !(squeeking even quieter)
Opened/closed, kept eye on car all day . . no more flashing.

Could this be the PS running low, but, having a tiny charge
on way home/work so it then sets off but not enough
charge to set off twice (if you see what i mean ?!)

I haven't actually tested the normal alarm (perhaps leave window
open inch then arm then wave hand inside ???)

The normal horn works fine.

Does the normal alarm use the normal horn OR the PS horn ?

I'm waiting to see if it does it again tonite out there now !!

Fats :(

ps. Sorry, IF i disconnect the PS or take it out, does the alarm
still work (hence it MUST use the normal horn ???)

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  ??

9
errrr, righto !

(note to self:- get Dave round to help when time comes ! ! ) 8-)

Oh well, i'll think about that then,
not a big issue really, just that on 1st impression the
stereo (speakers ?) in this Facelift isn't quite as clear/distinct as the one was in my old Moggie ?!?

I tried to find a Bose one but decided to go for 'straighter'
car than worry about the stereo.

You don't know of any pics of the rear at all do you ?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCR2006 rear connections ??

Anybody let me know what connectors are on back of CCR2006 ??

I've been told no pre-outs etc but has it got ISO connector thingies ??

I've got one of those Self-Amp'd tiny Sub things but it Piggy-Baccks on an ISO plug ?!?!?

Not disastrous if not but would add just a tad more bass without blowing the Car speakers  ;)

Have now fitted LED sidelights, Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs and Philips Xtreme main beam.

Noticeably brighter but my headlight inners are duff-awaiting replacement.

LEDs do look white and match the super-bright bulbs well, making the whole front look more modern.

Standard W5W sides look so dull-I don't like chavvy lights, but the LED sides (white) are a vast improvement on the standard ones.

Will post photos when the headlight units are repaired, replaced or adjusted.

Look good already  :y

OOOH !

Any chance of quick piccy as they ARE ??
(I'll make allowance for the dodgy headlights ;))

What sort of LEDs ? the simple smaller ones
or the 'tower' multi or 360 ones ?

FatS.

NAH, had "blue" bulbs . . . first off normal 55/60 watts =
DULLER (because obviously had duller BLUE glass !)
THEN found some 100w blues but even THEY only seemed
to give about SAME as the normal 60w's  >:(

Only want LED's (or Halogens ??) for the VERY 'orrible sides
at front . . . . .they're embarrassing ! ! :-[

Quite fancy the new extra bright Main Bulbs too (to try to
match the Xenon Dips a bit ?) the ~70% brighter ones from
Phillips/Osram etc ???

I am expecting a "bulb out" message issue though as they use less power than standard bulbs.  Will let you know-may not be an issue.

You can buy "no fault/error code" LED bulbs off ebay though  :y

I don't think the front side-lights (the 501's) give a fault
warning - i just replaced 1 'cos i SAW it was out but
no message ! (and in handbook the Side-lights aren't
listed)

Do those 'tower' ones go into the push-fit hole ??
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-LED-Extreme-Power-1.5W-360-degree.html

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-Long-19-LED-Extreme-Power-2W-360-degree.html

I really don't like the pissy look of the sides when the
Xenons are on  :(

What about those new Halogen 5w ?? are they REALLY
Halogen or just 'Blue' ones ??
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-W5W-Osram-Halogen-Cool-Blue-Sidelights.html

I know the little capped 10w ones in the Mercs/Alfas
ARE Halogen - they're REALLY bright ! !
