Omega General Help / Re: Auto Gearbox fault ???
« on: 30 September 2010, 19:51:17 »
Ok people... I have Opel Omega 2.2 petrol caravan 2003.
I had a same problem with my auto gearbox, and I went to my serviceman and he told me that i should change my gearbox, so I've done it, lucky me i found a same type,  and changed it. So i took a Balkan trip and while I was coming back to my country, the gearbox started to fail same as previous gearbox. It heated up and i could feel my cooler fan having difficulties to cool my gearbox. engine temp. was normal. but the cooler fan was noisy. so i think i will install a manual gearbox but i don't know what type of gearbox fits to my car. does a 2.0 type 1999 fits to my car??? - or i have to find the only 2.2 2003 type???????. Thnx.

Omega General Help / Re: Automatic Gearbox Fault No drive
« on: 25 November 2009, 19:51:30 »
I understand but my servicer told me that engins that runs on petrol doesn't have radiator inside the gearbox. the only cool the ATF in main engine cooler (radiator). only diesel vehicles has the radiator inside the gearbox. So I have to change the main engine radiator.

I had a same problem with my omega and i had a new cooler but i'm suspisious that it wasn't the corect one because usualy omega b is under 1999 and my omega is 2003 (some people call it Omega c). i hope that somebody hwo understands let me know what type of cooler is from my omega 2.2 16 petrol 2003.

Newbie Welcome Area / Radio safe
« on: 20 August 2009, 20:59:19 »
Hi there
I have Omega 2.2 16v Petrol, 2003, and my integrated cd/radio is set to safe on display. I am pressing and holding AS button and nothing is happening, (SAFE is not moving). And I’ve read it somewhere in this forum “Before starting turn your radio OFF”.  Again when I press ON / OFF (OI) button, nothing is happening. So can somebody help me?
My servicer guy is very good person but he keeps to much secrets and doesn’t tell me the way how hi does it. And hi is to far from my place.
