hi jimbob
u think i should bin it then?
its quite clean and valve does work with minimul amount of sucksion needed? just out of interest what button off the dash board commands it?if thats the case..only guessing as the vacuum pipe goes thru the back of the dash!
the two pipes that seem to be the culprits go from that hgr valve thingy u said to a pump under the header tank and back..if that pump is shot could that cause the same prob??

sorry to bombard you with questions jimbob but you seem like a man in the know lol.. :y :y 8-)

Omega General Help / water pressure and temp advice??

water pressure & temp?

firstly hello again chaps..
my engine is the 2.6 v6 (elite blah blah)and i'm a a bit worried about the water pressure! need some advice if what i'm about to say sounds right or if some one else on here with the same engine can compare notes.
water temp goes up to 90'c and about every 3-5 mins the fans knock it back to 80-85'c..(should the fans come on this offen??)
and a week ago i sprung a small water leak from back of engine so stripped planum, fuel rail, and flutes etc away to get in and investigate and found it was coming from a 3way black valve?with a small vacuum pipe coming off the top.but the leak was from where the two pipes (on same side of valve)clamp on.so after cleanning the valve and testing the valve moves as it should(which it did, with a little sucksion test)i changed the old style compresion clamps with new jubalee jobbies!!...

3days later the leak is slowly returning?? :'(

header tank is nice and clean(tho again i am concerned over the amount of pressure that buids up there as well)are the omega's a high pressure water system??

any wisdom and guidence on this matter is greatly apreciated brothers  :y ::)

thanx lads,,,
wes,.,.,. :-/
