You will get sound.

"My Naff Code Reader" was never sold legally in the UK, so no discussion of using that on this site.[/quote]

oops, sorry i apologise wasnt aware it couldnt be mentioned.

ah right i see, i have fitted a ncdr 2011 that used bose to a vectra with just normal speakers, it plays and sounds quite good. so if i had the head unit configured to non bose would this improve the sound quality? like wise if the bose system is fitted to a non bose config head unit would it still produce sound through the speakers then as i get sound through mine on a bose config head unit with out bose speaker set up?
for some reason i cant get "My Naff Code Reader" to connect to it, to even have try, checked to make sure i fitted the diagnostic wire correctly too :(

so how come you can retro fit the headunit from bose system to a car without bose with out tech 2 then (not using the bose system, but the cars original speakers), surely if a head unit needs tech 2 to operate bose system if not fitted from factory then a head unit from bose system should need tech 2 to operate in a car without bose as it uses different signal!, yes/no?

Head units also need to be configured by Tech 2 to work in a Bose system.

Kevin

why is this bud, does the amp not just use the signal from head unit.

hello mate, you just need the speakers amp and the loom, then just a case of joining the speaker wires from headunit to amp, then from amp to speakers, realy straight forward.
