heater control panel in face lift removal

hello, does all the stuff surrounding stereo come off? and how? have haynes manual for preface but they look totaly different. i am just wanting to get more room to get all the loom out from the 2011 satnav unit, dont really want to have to remove the whole dash to get it out intact, cheers dave.

The climate panel itself comes out quite easily. Remove the cage and feel up around the back of the climate control panel on the ends and you'll feel a little metal clip. This pulls out slightly and the climate panel pushes into the car.
