Omega General Help / Re: crank sensor?
« on: 13 August 2010, 17:54:42 »
Having quizzed the wife it appears th AA man did not have the correct software to make a diagnosis so he guessed it was the crank sensor having said that I don't know if he was mistaking the cam sensor for the crank sensor would the cam sensor stop the car starting ( yes i know i have broken it) is there an oof member in the Manchester area who can diagnose the problem for me?

Omega General Help / crank sensor?
« on: 13 August 2010, 08:41:38 »
Had to have the AA out this morning apparently the crank sensor has gone faulty but what is confusing me is that i have found a guide on here which says the3 pin connector is at the rear of the engine but the AA man was testing a two pin connector at the front of the engine i know it has two wires because i managed to break one of them trying to seperate  it   one end of wich runs down the side of the engine and the other goes into the loom under the cover hiding the belts so the question is what is this 2 pin connector at the front of the engine that i have managed to break and does it have anything to do with the crank sensor?

Omega General Help / another thing
« on: 17 May 2010, 19:50:14 »
Did you see my post about my airbag warning light?  Well we were on the school run this morning when there was a loud bang and a burning smell followed by a cloud of smoke I noticed that the seat belt tensioner had deployed, my handbook says that if the warning light is on the system is inoperative so was the bang due to something else? but what could of caused the burning smell or the smoke?.my "to do" list grows by the day god knows what tomorrow will bring
