ok i have i (think) worked it out.
i'm right it's nothing to do with the clutch at all as i said.
how ever and this is a lil guess work till i can strip it and see but. i think it is a weak chain tensioner when giving it some it put extra strain on it and moved it and advanced the timing making it seem as if it was kicking it down.
what made me think of this i hear you all asking. well on my way to work doing 70

i heard what sounded like a chain slapping about and the engine cut and wouldn't restart.
aa came out to recover me he had a lil look and said it is def something to do with the chain. till i strip it i don't know if it is as i think and the tensioner or if it's the chain or if it's seized or if it's a pig in there but it kinda makes sense what i said.
will start another thread if i can't find the info, on if the engine is non interfearance or not.
